Hi, my name is Joseph (Joe) Bruechner. I am a software engineer with a focus on data, AI, and machine learning. I classify myself as a self-starter and enjoy learning new concepts. I chose not to go to college and instead pursued a more focused learning path where I could learn concepts that were more relevant to what I wanted to become at the time: a Data Scientist.

In past roles, I have worked as a Data Scientist in financial analytics and fraud detection, as well as in evaluating and testing machine learning models for production environments.

Recently, I have started diving into the realm of developing software built around AI. I am currently working on a project that is a full-stack AI platform for legal professionals called Atticus AI. Some of the features include an AI-powered RAG pipeline and knowledge base, document analysis, legal research, and case analysis.

My programming language of choice is Python, but I have done a lot of frontend development with React/TypeScript and Next.js lately, which I really enjoy.

Data Science will always be my foundation, but I have come to really enjoy the entire stack of software development.
